Our Activity

Affiliated Members of Tsukuba Aijien

We have various affiliated members who look after the welfare of our children.

Staff

We have nursery staff, child care specialist, psychological therapist, abused child care specialist, family support specialist, treatment/schooling specialist, independence support counselor, administrator, nutritionist, cooking staff and part-time doctors who utilize their professional expertise and skills, are connected with children emotionally and support their daily lives.

Guardians

Under any circumstances, we understand it is very difficult and sad to live apart from their children. We set opportunities to be at regular contacts with their children by phones and visits to their homes.

Volunteer/Support Organization

We have many supporters who help us in various situations in our lives and provide many opportunities, such as tutoring for the children, having work experiences in the actual workplaces, invitations to recreational events/trips, farming experiences, volunteering for the events of our facilities.

Local Residents

Our children go to local schools and participate in local groups for children. They learn traditional cultures such as Japanese drums trough festival events with local children and adults.

Business/Corporations

We accept social contribution activities from business entities such as securities firms, banks and trading companies and have training programs for their employees. Also, we accept donations from corporations, which could be the area of their specialties such as funding, goods or offers/opportunities.

On the Job-Training

We ask local business entities and business owners to provide the opportunities for the children to have work experiences inn the workplaces, which will help them choose their future careers.

Friend Home

We believe that having an experience of being at a Friend Home will help the children to learn the role of family and family members, which will prepare them to create their future family.

School

Our children go to local kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools. At schools, they learn not only to study but also to learn relationships and communication skills through friends, which will provide them with opportunities to discover their ability in positive ways. We make close daily communications with schools to make sure our children do well at school.

Healthcare Facilities

We have seen some of our children, who have had inappropriate treatment prior to entering our facility and had been emotionally hurt. Our psychological treatment therapist communicates closely with the local healthcare facilities to make sure the physical and mental well-being of our children and also support children facing developmental disorders.

Foster Parent

This is a system to care children in a home setting, who are not able to live with their guardians. There are 4 kinds of foster parent. 1. Foster Home, 2. Specialized Foster Home, 3. Family Foster Home, 4. Adopted Foster Home. In order to become a foster parent, you need to take classes to learn nursing and need to obtain the approval from the government.

Activity at Tsukuba Aijien

1. Support the child and the parents with the professional advice

The professionals and doctors provide collaborative support by providing support to heal the wounds of the heart of the children and by giving nursing advice to guardians.

2.Provide various opportunities to make children’s dreams come true

We accept various supports from donors, corporations and volunteers for the children to overcome any difficulties and to be given the opportunities that will make their dreams come true.

3.Faciliate the room for the parents and children to stay over

We prepare rooms for the guardians to stay over with the children so that the children can experience what the normal family life would be, such as shopping, cooking, taking a bath and sleeping in the same room together.
