Greetings from the Director of Operations
Tsukuba Aijien is a nursing home for children, publicly set under Child Welfare Act Provision 41. Children who are in this nursing home are the ones who have to live apart from their family members due to various reasons. We provide the children with “the safe and comfortable living space”, where they enjoy living with necessary food, clothing and housing. We accept children as the way they are, who may be hurt emotionally in the process of being transferred to our nursing home. We take time to provide support our children:
- To feel that they are happy to be living
- To have values that the strong and the weak people support each other and we all coexist.
We value that we stand by our children with “sympathy”,”emotionally and physically”, and accept them the way they are, taking personal care for each child.
Our Philosophy
- Respect Individuality
- 1) Take individual needs seriously and fill these needs in a group home environment
- 2) Respect individual privacy and value that children learn the rights and responsibility properly and present their opinions. Also, we provide enough information for them to base their decisions on.
- Support for Growth
- 1) Provide appropriate support for the growth of individuals to form well-rounded character
- 2) Support children to learn necessary skills and knowledge for daily lives to become socially independent
- 3) Provide necessary support and environment both materialistically and emotionally for further growth of children
- 4) Work closely with the local residents by participating local events proactively to further strengthen the social basis of children
- Continued Nursing and Support Independence
- 1) Make sure that children would receive continued and consistent nursing support
- 2) Acquire further expertise to provide better nursing services and to support independency of children
- 3) Support children to return to their families by working closely with their family members and local child counseling centers
- 4) Provide continued support to children who left our facility to be well adjusted to their new environments
